Mowachaht/Muchalaht and Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council staff were to meet with Canadian federal government staff last Saturday to work out the elements of a 2005 stewardship program for Luna, the lone L Pod orca in Nootka Sound, B.C., and get it underway.

As this latest report says, Luna is ignoring boats and has been seen occasionally with other orcas (suspected to be transients).
