A Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada contract employee has been charged under the federal Fisheries Act with disturbing a marine mammal. Guy Chaisson will appear in court on January 5th to face allegations that he struck Luna. Read more about the story on Canada.com.

Luna (L-98) is a southern resident killer whale that appeared in Nootka Sound over two years ago. Over time he has become more and more gregarious in his interactions with people and boats.
