Iceland's whale hunt is smaller than Japan's or Norway's, but the news that hunting is likely to resume has still outraged environmental groups.

They had hoped that last year's change of government in Reykjavik would bring whaling to an end.

Instead, the Government has decided it will issue commercial whaling quotas if there is a demand for the meat.
